Check before you trust.
Upload a payment screenshot and get an instant tamper check. Verify the money actually landed, or look up who you're dealing with — before you release crypto, pay a stranger, or send a deposit. One safety layer for every deal, free to start.
Reported 3× as Seller — Non-delivery
Found in the recipient's real bank history
Checked for tampering in 4.2s
Works alongside Binance P2P, Bybit, Noones, Bitget, WhatsApp & Telegram trades — and any deal between two people who don't already know each other. Not a replacement for your platform.
Any deal between strangers runs on trust. That's the whole risk.
No bank, fintech app, or platform gives you a cross-platform view of who you're dealing with. Scammers just move on and start over under a new name.
Fake payment proof
Buyers send edited screenshots claiming payment was sent, pressuring sellers to hand over crypto, goods, or a deposit before real money lands.
Ghost sellers
Non-delivery, under-delivery (“kobo chopping”), or a scammer wearing someone else's trusted identity to borrow their credibility.
Payments can carry risk
Receiving money connected to someone else's fraud can trigger disputes, investigations, or account restrictions — even when you did nothing wrong.
Three steps, built to fit inside an active deal chat.
Get their details
A bank account, phone number, wallet address — or just the payment screenshot they sent you.
Check it in seconds
PeerVet screens it against prior scam reports or scans the image for signs of tampering. Target: under 10 seconds.
Make the call with evidence
Not a guess, not a gut feeling — an actual signal, before money, crypto, or anything else of value changes hands.
Screenshot in, answer out.
No account linking, no bank connection, no waiting on a database to fill up. Get an instant signal before you release your crypto or hand over anything else of value — on your very first deal.
Template & layout matching
Compares the screenshot's text, fonts, and layout against known formats for that bank's app or SMS alert.
Tamper detection
Flags regions of the image that show signs of digital editing — a pasted-in amount compresses differently than the rest of the photo.
Duplicate detection
Checks whether the exact same fake receipt has already been used against another trader.
No signs of tampering detected.
Formatting mismatch or a partial match to a previously-seen image.
Clear editing artifacts, or an exact match to a reported fake.
Worth being honest about
A clean result means no signs of editing were found in the image — it isn't confirmation that money actually moved. For that certainty, see Payment Verification below.
Did the money actually arrive?
A screenshot can claim money was sent. PeerVet can check that claim directly against real bank transaction data — and it works even if you're not the one who linked the account. If the recipient has connected their bank to PeerVet, you can confirm their payment landed without waiting on them.
Cross-account matching
Enter the recipient's account number from the screenshot. PeerVet checks it against every account linked on the platform, not just your own.
Real transaction data
Reads the recipient's actual bank history via a secure, consent-based connection — never a screenshot, never a guess.
Privacy protected
Only confirms whether one specific amount landed. Never shows anyone the account owner's balance or unrelated transactions.
The claimed amount was found in the recipient's real transaction history.
Either no matching transaction yet, or that account hasn't been linked to PeerVet.
Check them before you trust them.
Bidirectional by design: a buyer can check a seller's bank account before paying, and a seller can check a buyer's account before releasing crypto, a gift card, or anything else they're trading. Same database, same lookup, both directions.
Bank account number
The strongest signal — opening new accounts repeatedly requires BVN/NIN and real KYC cost.
Account name
Cross-checked against the name on the bank alert.
Phone number
Catches scammers who push conversations off-platform to apply pressure.
Crypto wallet address
Protects buyers specifically — for scams where the bank side looks entirely legitimate.
Built so one bad report can't ruin a real trader.
A single report can't flag anyone. PeerVet only surfaces a public warning once independent signals — reporter credibility, evidence strength, and corroboration from unrelated accounts — agree. That's the same defense that protects honest traders from false accusations.
We're building this database from scratch.
Every report you check or submit makes it stronger for the next trader. “No reports yet” doesn't mean safe — it means unverified. Trade carefully either way.
Not sure it actually works? Try a sample.
These are the real result screens, fed sample data — pick one to see exactly what a check looks like. No account needed.

Not a custodian
PeerVet never holds your crypto or your cash. It's an information layer that sits alongside the platform you already trade on.
Not a guess dressed up as certainty
Every result is labeled honestly — “no red flags found” is not the same claim as “confirmed genuine,” and we say so in the product, not just the fine print.
Built against false accusations
Our scoring system requires independent, corroborated signals before anything is shown publicly — not a single anonymous report.
Your bank login is never stored
Payment Verification uses Mono's consent-based connection — PeerVet only ever receives transaction data, never your credentials.
Frequently asked questions
No. PeerVet never custodies funds or crypto and isn't an exchange or broker — it's a verification layer that works alongside the P2P platform or chat you already trade on.
No. The receipt checker and the reputation lookup both work with zero setup. Checking whether a payment landed in someone else's account doesn't require you to link anything either — you only need to link your own bank if you want your account to be checkable by counterparties.
We show “no reports yet” honestly — that means unverified, not guaranteed safe. Our database is community-built and grows with every check and report, and we say so plainly rather than implying full coverage from day one.
A single report never produces a public flag on its own. Our automated trust-scoring system requires independent, corroborated signals — and anyone flagged can file a dispute that puts the entry under review.
Any of them — Binance P2P, Bybit, Bitget, Noones, WhatsApp or Telegram trades, or any deal between two people who don't already know each other, whether that's a crypto trade, a marketplace sale, or a rental deposit. PeerVet isn't tied to a specific platform or trade type.
The receipt checker is free, indefinitely. The reputation check and Payment Verification both include a free tier for every trader.
